About The Department ECE
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established during the inception of the college in the year 2009, with a vision to produce competent engineers capable of adding value to professional standards. The Department of ECE is dedicated towards grooming students and making them ready to meet the requirements of this competitive and rapidly evolving sector.
The department has well qualified faculty members with considerable experience in academics, research and industry. The laboratories of the department are well equipped with sophisticated equipments and professional EDA tools in the fields of Embedded Systems, VLSI design, Digital Signal Processing.The department emphasizes on the development of hands on skill of the students to complement their theoretical knowledge and as such the department organizes periodical training programs and workshops to train students with the latest technologies apart from the regular curriculum.
The department has a vibrant learning environment where all the students and faculty members nurture the spirit of innovation, creativity and contribute effectively to the advancement of technology. The department has produced large number of highly accomplished alumni since its inception. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at MPES continues the tradition of transforming fresh young students into successful professionals.

Program Outcomes
- PO1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

About Professonal Socities:
The college offers many opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. Within the department there are two student-run organizations which you can get involved in. Student organizations are a very important part of the college experience. They encourage teamwork, leadership, improved organizational skills and creativity, while cultivating professional interests.
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) & ISF:
- The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is one of the leading Professional Societies in India. Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Student Forum (ISF) members play an active role by being in the organizing committee in the events conducted and fully supported by IETE. The following 77 of our students are our ISF from third year alone.
- Improving standard of Engineering Education.
- Counseling the students in the emerging new opportunities.
- Encouraging and motivating the outside Class room studies /Workshops/Projects/Seminars.
- Increasing the student base and Corporate membership of IETE.
- To plan, organize Technical Programs, Special Lectures, Workshops, Seminars Symposia, Technical Exhibitions for the benefit of students.
- To provide common platform for students to exchange of ideas in technical topics of interest, e.g., curriculum, employment, higher educational opportunities, emerging trends, etc.
- To facilitate technical visits, project works, employment, contact with industries and academic institutions.
- Encourage team spirit and self reliance among student members.
- ISF is a catalyst for the overall growth in technical and professional skills in young students.
- Priority for publishing their papers in Journal of Education.
- Can also subscribe for other publications such as IETE Journal of Research and IETE Technical Review (available online).
- ISF students are welcome to attend IETE technical programs in India
- The institutions where Forums are registered shall receive the following benefits :
- A suitable grant to the IETE forum, commensurate with the membership strength to conduct various activities of the forum.
- One complete set of technical publications of the IETE including IETE Journal of Research, IETE Technical Review, IETE Journal of Education, IETE News letter will be sent to ISF coordinator at the Institution for students in the College Library.
- Regular interaction with Local Centres to have support from Corporate members.
- Possibility of Electronics Hobby Centres in Institution with industry support.
- Conduct of Competitions such as Quiz, Technical paper Contest, Essay competition,Technical Visits to industries and conduct of inter-collegiate functions.
- Consideration of special grant for ISF during annual fests.

Department Library
Computer Science and Engineering departmentis equipped with a library apart from the Central Library of the Institution.Department Library comprise of a substantial No. of Volumes, Magazines, Dailies and Reference Books for ready reference to its Staff and Students.At present the department library has about 1264 volumes with 726 titles. It also subscribes for e-Journals, Journals & Magazines.
Apart from curriculum books the library also has titles in the reference section that helps student in preparing for competitive exams and placement tests. Rich collection of books on software technologies makes the student improve his technical and programming skills. CD's and DVD's of lectures are also available in the department library facilitating quick learning.Though the library, at present caters to the needs of the undergraduate and post graduate students , it is as well in future being developed to meet the needs of staff doing their Doctoral Program.

ELECTRO VISION

Association Office Bearers:
ELECTRO is an integral part of the ECE Department established in Sep, 2014. Over the years, ELECTRA has encouraged the academic and scientific development of the department's student body through various activities such as coding competitions, technical workshops and talks by experts. Annually, the CSEA hosts SAMKALP, Technical workshops, job/internship talks and involves the students in conducting societal activities.
